When Peace is in Pieces
December 11 | Sam Cassese
Isaiah 25:6-9 & 26:1-4
Invasion. War. Factions. Displaced refugees. Not much has changed since 586 B.C. Globally, our peace is in pieces. Relationally, our society is not much better as gossip, division and hostility rule the day. Most of us can’t even spell the word “peace” behind our keyboards, even with 140 characters.
This week, Isaiah, God’s messenger comes to God’s people to tell them of a day when peace will rule the land and our hearts.
Promise of Hope
December 4 | Sam Cassese
Isaiah 35:1-10
The weather cools and the windows frost. The lights are going up and the eggnog is going down. Everyone is saying, “Tis the season!” as we all look forward to Christmas Day. But there was a time that an entire nation, the people of Israel, looked forward with even greater anticipation and hope. They longed for the day where they would be able to say “Tis the season” of God’s salvation. Join us this week as we turn to Isaiah to feel their longing and hear their hope for the day their dark cloud of tragedy would be replaced with something infinity better.
