The church is the new covenant people of God, rooted in the promises to Israel and inaugurated by the Holy Spirit, which refers both to all believers in Jesus Christ, both living and dead, and to local gatherings of believers.

Once we have embarked upon a life of ministry, we will be confronted with agonizing and persistent questions like “How am I doing?” and “How will I know how I’m doing?”

The Gospel is the central element in the Christian life and continually renews the believer and the Church.

Cultivating practical godliness is essential to the Christian life and is made up of pursuing spiritual disciplines that are both personal (bible reading, prayer, fasting, etc.) and interpersonal (baptism, the Lord’s Supper, fellowship, family worship, etc.).

Pride is your greatest enemy, humility is your greatest friend. It would be easy to conclude that pride is the special problem of those who are rich, powerful, successful, famous, or self-righteous. But that is wrong. It takes many shapes and forms and affects all of us to some degree.

The mission of Eastpoint Church is like a ship, a large vessel that is moving across the ocean toward a specific destination. Hundreds of crew members are on board, playing a role on any one of a dozen different teams. From this metaphor, we can glean a lot about the nature of our ministry.
