Dear Eastpoint Family,
Dream with me for a moment…
Imagine a future where every single person on the Eastern Shore lived within a square mile of a maturing and missional follower of Jesus.
Imagine what it would do to the very fabric of our society if more Christians were growing deeper in their faith and, as a result, carrying the hope of the gospel into their circles of influence and the corners of their communities.
What would happen if the hurting and hopeless who don’t know God were loved, reached and surrounded by the presence of Christ and His people?
This is how people like Savanna have come to put their faith in Christ…
Savanna
“Since walking through the doors of Eastpoint Church I have never looked back.
Everyone was so welcoming, and I never felt any judgment within those walls. It was accepted that we all walk different paths in life, but are united in the reason why we are all here: to be embraced by Jesus - and that is exactly what happened to me.
My life isn't perfect, going through divorce, domestic violence, being a single mom, struggling through life, feeling so lost and helpless… In the middle of all of that, a friend introduced me to Eastpoint. When I first attended, the message was exactly what I needed to hear. And it kept happening, over and over again. I knew it wasn’t a coincidence and I needed to know more.
I joined D101 to understand the basics of faith, but God used that time for far more. I felt so secure with that group of ladies, able to be vulnerable in my limited knowledge of the Bible. I learned not to be afraid of asking questions and that no matter what, Jesus will ALWAYS be there for me. My time at Eastpoint has felt more like being wrapped in a warm blanket with family than just attending an event.
After attending D101 I knew I wanted to get baptized. After learning more about the Word, Jesus, and God, I knew He saved me. He saved me for a reason I cannot explain but I know that my purpose as a follower of Jesus is to bring that same welcoming, warm blanket feeling to anyone else who may feel the way I did.
The day after I got baptized, I had to take a different route to work. I stopped at WaWa (which I never do) to grab a coffee, and the guy behind the counter said, “Oh you got baptized yesterday! I saw you. Congratulations!”. It lit up my heart. I never felt like that before. That was Jesus. I am now in a group with some amazing girls and we laugh, cry, share stories, and dive into the Word. I carry my bible around with me, I read the Word at work and I share it with my co-workers. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the family of Eastpoint. I will forever be proud to be a Christian because of the way Jesus has turned my life around. Thank you, Eastpoint. Thank you, God..”
By God’s grace, we’re moving toward a future where more lives, just like Savanna’s, are transformed. This is the future we’re praying and planning for at Eastpoint Church. We want to see the gospel spread and change lives, “as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you” (Colossians 1:6). We call this vision “the growing influence of a growing people.”
In 2025 we plan to further the work God is already doing here as we extend our impact regionally, into Centreville with a new church campus, and globally, into India and East Africa through the work of two new missions partners. It is your generosity and investment in eternity that is helping fuel this movement of transformation. For that, we thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
In light of this vision, as you plan your year-end giving, would you prayerfully consider a financial gift above and beyond your normal tithe? We’re trusting the Lord to provide $150,000 by December 31st, about half of the total cost for these projects, to continue the work He has already started. We’re calling this our Multiply Offering as a reminder that God is calling us to multiply our gospel influence locally, regionally and globally. Simply designate ‘Multiply Offering’ on your gift.
May the Lord use your generosity to glorify Jesus, bring His message of hope to the lost and advance His Kingdom here on the Shore, as it is in heaven.
For His Glory,
Sam Cassese
Lead Pastor
